Structural steel package Ongoing

Structural steel subcontract package under the main contractor for a mixed-use development in Dubai South comprising retail podium and office tower.

Scope of work

• Shop detailing and fabrication of 680 tonnes structural steel
• Connection design and drawing approval
• Shop primer painting and quality control
• Site delivery, erection and bolting
• Final site welding and fireproofing
• NDT testing — UT and visual inspection

Status

Currently at 65% completion. Shop fabrication is 90% complete with site erection progressing at 2 floors per month. All welds passed UT examination with zero rejects so far.
